Fees & Costs — Dhow's Transparent Fee Model
Dhow charges a standard 2/20 fee model: a 2% annual management fee on committed capital and a 20% carry on profits above your initial investment. Legal, structuring, and standard admin and banking costs are included — not charged separately. There is no platform access fee, no subscription fee, and no charge for browsing deals or joining the waitlist.
Management Fee
Dhow charges a 2% annual management fee on committed capital. This covers deal sourcing, portfolio management, reporting, and investor services throughout the hold period.
Carried Interest
Dhow charges a 20% carry on profits above your initial investment. For example, if you invest $25,000 and gross proceeds at exit are $75,000, the carry is 20% × ($75,000 − $25,000) = $10,000. You only pay carry when you make money.
What's Included
Legal, structuring, and standard admin costs are included in the management fee. Non-standard costs such as international wires ($25–$50) or FX conversion may be passed through at cost with no markup.

Are there management fees?
Yes. Dhow charges a 2% annual management fee on committed capital. This is charged each year throughout the hold period and covers deal sourcing, portfolio management, reporting, and investor services.
Is there carry / profit share?
Yes. Dhow charges a 20% carry on profits above your initial investment. It is calculated on gains above the original capital you invested. You only pay carry when you make money. Carried interest is a form of profit-sharing — it has nothing to do with riba.
Do I pay fees if I don't invest?
No. Dhow has no platform access fee, no subscription fee, and no monthly charges. You can create an account, join the waitlist, browse opportunities, and read deal memos at no cost. Fees only apply when you commit capital to a specific investment.
Are there wire/ACH/FX fees?
Standard banking costs (ACH, domestic wires) are included in Dhow's fee structure. Non-standard banking costs, such as international wires ($25–$50) or FX conversion fees, may be passed through at cost if they apply to your transaction.
Can fees change after I invest?
No. The 2% annual management fee and 20% carry percentage are locked in at the time you subscribe. These terms are governed by the offering documents and cannot be changed unilaterally.
How do Dhow's fees compare to the industry?
Dhow charges the industry standard 2/20 model — 2% annual management fee plus 20% carry. Unlike many platforms, legal, structuring, and standard admin costs are included in the management fee rather than charged separately.
