How Dhow Works — Private Market Investing in 6 Steps

Dhow gives values-aligned investors access to curated private market deals, screened for ethical compliance and structured for accessibility. Here is how the process works from start to finish.

Step 1: Browse Opportunities

Explore a curated pipeline of deals screened for values alignment. Each listing includes a summary, sector, geography, target raise, and minimum investment. Filter by asset class, stage, geography, and values criteria. All opportunities have been pre-screened through Dhow's diligence framework.

Step 2: Review Deal Memo & Docs

Every opportunity comes with a structured investment memo covering thesis, risks, terms, and fees. Access the data room: financial projections, legal documents, founder backgrounds, and third-party reports. Review the standardized risk section including liquidity, concentration, and loss-of-capital warnings.

Step 3: Join the Community

Connect with other investors, discuss deals, and learn from the community. Join deal-specific discussion rooms to hear perspectives from other investors. Participate in live Q&A sessions with deal founders before committing.

Step 4: Eligibility & KYC

Complete accredited investor verification (income, net worth, or professional certification) and submit KYC/AML documentation. Verification typically completes within 1–3 business days. Entity investors (LLCs, trusts) submit formation documents and beneficial ownership information.

Step 5: Subscribe & Fund

Review and sign the subscription agreement electronically. Choose your investment amount subject to stated minimums. Fund via wire transfer or ACH — instructions are provided after signing. Your capital is held in a segregated account until the deal closes.

Step 6: Reporting & Updates

Receive regular reporting on your portfolio companies, including quarterly updates, audited financials where available, and material event notifications. Track your investments through your Dhow dashboard.
